Christmas Ordering at Griffins
At this moment in time we are unable to process online orders for Turkey’s as customers are required to pay a deposit when their order is placed – this however is something we are working on for the future! If you wish to order one of our fabulous Turkeys or any of our specialist Christmas cuts you will be required to do so by either visiting us at the shop in Newbury or contacting us on 01635 40279.
We stock locally reared free range bronze and white Turkeys, which Golden Promise certified, guaranteeing their quality.These can be available as whole birds, crowns or prepared as boneless breasts.
Also available are traditional barn raised Turkey’s, Ducks, Geese and large roasting Chickens.

FREE-RANGE TURKEYS
Griffins Butchers are proud to continue their long relationship with the Walter’s Family Farm, situated on the West Berkshire Downs. This traditional family run farm have been supply Griffins with top quality Turkey’s.
From late summer their Free Range Turkeys (Bronze and White Turkeys) live in large airy barns that open on to green downland fields. Every day they explore their natural surroundings pecking at the grass and bales in the fresh air. At night they are in large, straw bedded barns with plenty of room.
Their Traditional Free Range bronze and white turkeys are fed mainly on our home grown cereals (mix of wheat, barley and oats). This is all milled on the farm. No growth promoters are ever added to the feed.

We source our geese from a local farmer in Oxfordshire. They slowly reared until they reach full maturity. They feed mainly on grass, supplemented by a natural diet with no food additives. This traditional rearing method ensures that their meat will be rich and succulent.
